Description of the role: We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our PMO team. In this role you will leads complex initiatives to achieve agreed outcomes by enabling delivery through others. You will apply judgement in governance, proactively manage risk and interdependencies, and support sponsors with decision‑ready insight and options in ambiguous and changing environments.

 

What makes you ‘just right’:

  • 7-10 years experience in project management within accounting, legal, or professional services.
  • Proven track record delivering strategic and operational projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Experience with multi-office system implementation and vendor management.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, or equivalent).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, IT, or related field.
  • Experience working with professional services PMS and DMS systems preferred
  • Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, Planner, PowerBI) and accounting-specific software platforms.

 

What your day might look like:

  • Enabling delivery across multiple workstreams by guiding and supporting workstream leads, while remaining handson project, business analysis, and change activities where required to progress delivery.
  • Directly contributing to delivery where needed, including project planning, risk and dependency management, requirements clarification, stakeholder engagement, and change enablement activities (not technical build or configuration).
  • Anticipating and managing crossinitiative dependencies, constraints, and tradeoffs.
  • Shaping delivery approach and cadence based on context, complexity, and risk, applying methodology pragmatically rather than by default.
  • Working closely with the Change Manager to ensure delivery plans are aligned to change and adoption strategies.
  • Ensuring change impacts, adoption risks, and readiness considerations are integrated into delivery decisions.
  • Supports leaders to understand their role in driving adoption and sustaining outcomes.
