Description of the role: We’re seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to join our Indirect Tax team. In this role you’ll help clients navigate Australia’s complex tax landscape with confidence. You’ll provide tailored solutions to minimise risk, maximise opportunities, and ensure compliance in a dynamic and evolving field.

 

What makes you 'just right':

  • Prior experience at a similar level or be looking to step into your first Manager role. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience. 
  • Primary speciality in GST, experience in the property sector would be highly regarded but not essential, or experience working in financial services or inbound goods and services.
  • Sound knowledge of other indirect tax areas such as state taxes, desirable but not essential. 
  • Experience working with clients in the medium enterprise sector.

What your day might look like:

  • Preparing comprehensive technical advice for clients,
  • Preparing ATO and Revenue Office ruling requests.
  • Liaising with the ATO regarding ongoing matters. 
  • Collaborating with your team to provide tailored client solutions, mentoring your team members and sharing knowledge.
  • Working directly with clients in both a face to face and virtual capacity, to understand details of specific commercial transactions.
  • Working directing with one of Australia's leading partners.
  • Liaising with other departments within William Buck, such as Audit and Business Advisory on referred matters. 
  • Collaborating with individuals in our overseas office and in the Praxity Network.
