Description of the role: We’re seeking an experienced Head of IT to join our fast-growing organisation as we expand across multiple locations. As we scale, we need a proactive, hands-on IT leader who can take ownership of our IT infrastructure, systems, and processes to drive business success. This leadership position requires a combination of technical expertise and project management skills, particularly in a growth-driven environment. As the company continues to grow, this role will evolve, offering you the opportunity to shape our future IT strategy, and advance your career.

What makes you ‘just right’:

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, ITIL, PMP) are desirable but not essential.

  • Proven experience in an IT leadership role, with a strong background in IT infrastructure, systems management, and project execution.

  • Previous experience in managing IT operations for a multi-site organisation.

  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, security protocols, cloud technologies, and software development lifecycles.

  • A deep understanding of data protection, cybersecurity best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to balance both technical and business needs.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business-friendly language and working effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong understanding of budgeting, financial management, and vendor management in a technology context.

What your day might look like:

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software. Ensure that all systems are secure, reliable, and efficient, supporting a seamless experience for users across multiple locations.

  • Team Leadership: Lead a small but dedicated team of IT professionals. Manage IT staffing requirements and ensure the team is adequately resourced to meet business demands.

  • Project Management: Manage and prioritise IT projects, ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with other departments to ensure technology projects align with business needs.

  • Cybersecurity & Data Protection: Lead efforts to ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect company data, systems, and intellectual property. Implement best practices for data privacy and compliance with industry regulations.

  • Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, managing service level agreements (SLAs), and ensuring cost-effectiveness. Own the IT department’s budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.

  • Support & Troubleshooting: Ensure the delivery of high-quality IT support services to all employees across all locations. Oversee helpdesk operations and establish processes for rapid troubleshooting and resolution of issues.

What makes us ‘just right’:

  • Flexible working to help you balance work and personal responsibilities.

  • Opportunity to grow your career as the firm grows in size.

  • Free company provided Salary Continuance insurance.

  • In-House Psychologist.

  • Extended EAP to support you and your eligible family members.

  • Bi-Monthly Colleague Lunch.

  • Dress for your day.

  • Social Club events.

  • Run Club.

  • Working in a vibrant and collegiate culture where your contribution is valued.
