Description of the role: We’re seeking a Senior Sustainability Reporting and Data Manager to join our Business Advisory team. In this role you'll will be pivotal to the building of our sustainability team. Working closely with internal and external clients to manage and report sustainability data including carbon accounting.
What makes you 'just right':
- Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline such as sustainability, environmental science, business, finance or accounting.
- Expertise in data analysis, financial reporting, or sustainability reporting.
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks like GRI and SASB, as well as a demonstrated grasp of sustainability principles and best practices.
- Strong analytical and data management abilities, including the capacity to gather, examine and understand large-scale data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare environmental reports and ESG disclosures.
- Familiarity with sustainability regulations and reporting standards such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), UN Global Compact, GHG Protocol, internation and IFRS general Sustainability related disclosures.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment and strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
What your day might look like:
- Create and implement assessment procedures for reporting sustainability, ensuring the accuracy and validity of the data.
- Supervise and develop a team to collect, examine and interpret data on sustainability to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements. Procedures to be in accordance with applicable standards and laws, create and distribute sustainability reports, such as annual sustainability reports and ESG disclosures.
- Collaborate with clients to identify areas for improvement and implement sustainability initiatives.
- Perform carbon accounting assignments for clients and assist in developing a business line providing these and related services.
- Monitor and analyse emerging sustainability trends, standards and regulations to ensure clients remain at the forefront of sustainability reporting and data management.
